Like previous concepts – the system isn’t self sustaining since plants require care, no matter how automated the system. My issue with the Breathe Easy are the exposed plant roots. To make it worse, the LED lights illuminate the root system, not the beautiful orchids above.

To celebrate its 150th Anniversary and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to design and innovation, international watch brand Timex collaborated with Core77 to carry out a global design competition: Timex2154: THE FUTURE OF TIME that could highlight the state-of-the-art timekeeping pioneered by the company. One of the runners up at the competition, the TX54 concept presents a disposable timepiece that can be worn on the user’s thumbnail making it an invaluable fashion accessory as well.

Thanks to a translucent body, the design blends seamlessly with the nail while a selection of text color options and a glow feature activating on command make it supremely functional as well. A perfect blend of appearance, user interface, and technology, the nail watch passes most standards of modern design with flying colors thanks to its functional and minimalist appeal.

Don’t say anything. Just don’t say it. This cake is the most badass baked good I’ve ever seen. We’ve had a shitload of cakes on our site and some were pretty awesome-looking, especially this LEGO Batman cake.

But this dragon clutching a D20 D&D die? Holy shit. Is it even a cake? Look at the coloring and the amount of detail on this thing. How could somebody even eat a beautiful, delicious work of art? The world may never know.

Where cats (especially the black ones) are usually considered as bad omens in Indian culture, they are actually a good sign as per other cultures. For those who are superstitious, keep away from cats anyhow but those like me, love them and actually adore kitties. Where there is a whole range of HelloKitty stuff that most of us simply buy because of the cuteness factor, I have just pounced (let’s use some catty language) upon a charming and not-so charming shoes which feature a cat.

It may be my evil side or something else but the black kitty with red hellish eyes appeals to me. The whole boot is black and suede and print leather has been amalgamated to produce that evil effect. If you look carefully, with your kitty eyes, you’ll see that the suede has been used in a very beautiful pattern ad you have that dark effect. The shoes are available for a good US$170 and believe me, that’s nothing for these daring pair of shoes. Meow…worth having!

Did Marc Jacobs, the designer forget human anatomy while giving concrete shape to these atrociously heeled shoes, or even worse, is he out to play some kind of a practical joke on us? Now don’t tell me that fixing the heel at the front is the ‘in-thing’…because I certainly won’t buy that!

Shoe designers have been experimenting with their products like crazy, playing with the heels more often. We’ve had fancy shaped ones as platform, clogs, kitten, wedges, block, and conical stilettos.

However, friends, we had heels at least, and it didn’t matter much if we had to fix regular appointments with the orthopedician, all for the sake of fashion! But, Marc Jacobs shoe defies reason and strangely places the heel just under the ball of the foot.

Not a tiny block, but a good, four-inch heel rests coolly in the most unexpected place. The point that God created to rest our feet on stays hanging in the air, keeping us on our toes.

need not explain how you would feel once these shoes are a part of your accessory. Imagine what will happen when you forget what’s on your feet, and decide to lean back on your heels, you’ll end up falling backwards ladies!

If you still find the pair funky, then here’s the price for you, $546 for a plain pair and $666 for an elaborate one, decorated with metal swirls and Swarovski crystals. If you ask me, I’d suggest you to don some headgear before stepping out with your feet in them.

The shoes are part of the American designer’s 2008 collection, described by him as ‘the emperor’s new clothes’. Did he talk about ‘overturning conventional fashion’? He has to be kidding! These are the most ridiculous, torturous, and precarious pair of shoes for any woman, no matter how little she needs to walk!
